Make Spirits Bright with True Rep!

True Repertory Theatre is spreading the Christmas spirit this Holiday season as they embark on their Making Spirits Bright campaign, featuring a Holiday Food and Toy Drive and an Online Christmas Share-A-Thon. These projects are presented in sponsorship with First Parish Unitarian Church, Kingston, and are part of True Repertory Theatre's Project 719 community outreach program.

The Holiday Food & Toy Drive runs December 11th,12th & 13th from 5-8pm at The Beal House, 222 Main St., Kingston, and aims to support the more than 600,000 people struggling with hunger in Massachusetts. Non-perishable food donations and unwrapped toys for children aged 0-12 will be collected, as well as raffles held for beautifully decorated Christmas Trees and two new bicycles. Complimentary beverages and baked goods provided. All current Covid19 precautions will be in place, including social distancing and masks required. Drive-up service will also be available. All food items will be donated to local food pantries and toys donated to Toys for Tots in partnership with the Kingston Fire Department.

True Rep’s Online Christmas Share-A-Thon brings the Christmas cheer virtual, as members of the theatre’s company bring you into their homes, sharing stories, songs, recipes, and more, to share their own Christmas joy with the entire family! Tune-in to True Rep’s Facebook Page (@TrueRepertoryTheatre) at 7pm starting December 11th, and every night til Christmas, to join in the Christmas cheer!

MORE ABOUT PROJECT 719:

Project 719 is a community outreach program that was established in 2005 by True Repertory Theatre founder/artistic director Donald Sheehan. The program was established to support various organizations within the community. Since its inception, it has been an incredibly successful program that has given the theatre the ability to reach out beyond the 4 walls of the theatre and positively impact the lives of amazing people from all walks of life. Some of our programs have included fundraising, food and toy drives, and organizational awareness campaigns.
