Our September 2020 Show
Into the Woods

UPDATE: this production has been postponed until further notice.

True Repertory Theatre presents the enchanting musical fable, Into the Woods,
September 18th and 19th, 2020 at 7pm; show will be outdoors in front of the Kingston Collection (101 Kingston Collection Way, Kingston, MA 02364).

Into the Woods features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book
by James Lapine.

As the result of a curse by a once-beautiful witch, a baker and his wife are childless. Three days before the rise of a blue moon, they venture into the forest to find the ingredients that will reverse the spell and restore the witch's beauty: a milk-white cow, hair as yellow as corn, a blood-red cape, and a slipper of gold. During their journey, they meet Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Jack, each one on a quest to fulfill a wish.

Sondheim's lush Tony-winning score and James Lapine's Tony-winning book
conjure a world where "giants can be good and witches can be right" and make Into the Woods a contemporary classic and an audience favorite.

The production is directed by Donald Sheehan, musically directed by Nicki Sjolin, and stage managed by Anthea Dimond.
