True Repertory Theatre presented for their November/December 2019 show, Charles Dicken's Holiday classic, "A Christmas Carol".

This classic tale tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser who stubbornly refuses to believe in Christmas and cannot be bothered with the poor and destitute at Christmas time, the most festive time of the year. Scrooge is intent on spending Christmas alone. Instead the skeptical curmudgeon is visited by an unexpected friend, Jacob Marley who will pave the way for the inevitable visitation of the otherworldly spirits of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet To Come. But what do the ghosts want? Can a wicked old miser admit the error in his ways and embrace change? In the end, is Scrooge ready to love and be loved?

The production was directed by True Rep Theatre Artistic Director Donald Sheehan who also portrayed the role of Jacob Marley. The ensemble included Victoria Bond of Plymouth as Ebenezer Scrooge, Julie Butler of Pembroke as The Ghost of Christmas Present, Morgan Pritchard of Middleboro as Mrs. Cratchit, Adrienne Morlan of Plymouth as Charwoman, Melanie Butler of Pembroke as Tiny Tim and Paul Noonan of Tiverton, RI as Mr. Cratchit.  Elaine D'Angelo of Plymouth will serve as Musical Director and Pianist.
